Player Spotlight: OL Joshua Dawson (Class of 2021)

Player Spotlight: Joshua Dawson (OL / Class of 2021)

Joshua Dawson is currently ranked as the #1 Offensive Lineman and the #7 overall prospect for Delaware's Class of 2021. Dawson possesses outstanding size for his age, currently standing at 6'0 290 lbs. He is a very disciplined player who is said to be a coach's dream on the offensive line. Not only is Joshua a high-level football prospect, he also holds a 4.0 GPA in the classroom as well.

Dawson currently trains with Quan Harris of Super Savage Training and has been personally invited to attend Clemson Lineman Camp, Penn State Camp, Harvard Football Camp, and has also received the Kevin Jones Alumni Scholarship to attend the Virginia Tech Football Camp. With his great work on and off the field, we expect that Dawson will only continue to receive many more camp invites - potentially leading to scholarship offers in his near future. He is extremely focused and determined to have the opportunity to play at the Division-I level of college football.

Joshua helped lead his 7th grade team at Central Middle School (Dover, DE) to an undefeated season in addition to helping the Kent Stallions walk away as Regional Champions - finishing 3rd overall in the Florida National Championship Games. This past season at Central Middle School, Dawson did not allow a single sack or tackle for the Senators. Next season, Joshua will be starting on varsity for Polytech High School as a freshman and will look to make a name for himself right away. He will have one final game to play in prior to the start of his high school career, the 302 Rising Freshmen All-Star Game on July 8th, 2017 at A.I. Dupont in Wilmington, DE. Dawson was one of the top players selected in the Rising Freshmen All-Star Game Draft and is expected to be among the top next-level prospects in attendance.
