Player Spotlight: QB Jeron Phillips (Class of 2021)

Player Spotlight: Jeron "LJ" Phillips (QB / Class of 2021)

Jeron "LJ" Phillips is the top rated prospect for Delaware's Class of 2021. Despite only being in 8th grade currently, Phillips has already showcased his talent on a national stage. His tall and athletic build give him the ability to be a dual-threat quarterback - scorching opposing teams through the air or on the ground. Many youth and high school scouting services have already recognized Phillips' talent, as he is ranked on many "Class of 2021 Watch Lists" for the quarterback position.

This young signal-caller has already developed a stronger work ethic than most high school seniors. Jeron currently trains with elite QB/WR trainer Damon Daniels, a former NFL wide receiver training clients out of the Wilmington, Delaware area. His currently schedule on a weekly basis includes lifting on Monday and Wednesday, core/strength/agility work for an hour before AAU practices on Tuesday and Thursday, total body workouts with his trainer on Friday, and QB training on Sunday. Phillips has learned how to work hard when nobody is watching, a trait that will potentially propel him to the NCAA Division-I level following the completion of high school football career at the Tatnall School.

Some of Jeron Phillips' current accolades include being named "Top 5 QB" at Rule The Air and Battle of the Trenches Showcase, exclusive invitation to the prestigous Quarterback University football camp, in addition to receiving an invitation to the Gunslinger QB Challenge finals. Phillips is among the top quarterbacks featured on QB Hit List, as well as being included on their Class of 2021 Watch List. On July 8th, he will add another accolade to his impressive resume - competing in the 302 Rising Freshmen All-Star Game at A.I. Dupont High School. Jeron will look to prove himself as the top overall prospect for the Class of 2021 at our event!
